Welcome to our new CACI home

Welcome to the California Association of Criminal Investigators’ (CACI) new home. A modern-day web site provides us an opportunity to communicate with one another in a timelier manner unavailable to us years ago, an ability doubly important for an organization such as CACI, which has members scattered over various state agencies.

This is our Town Hall, where CACI members can come to get important information, keep up with members of the CACI family, and share thoughts and complaints. But its re-design has a second audience in mind: the public and the media. It is from here that we will tell public and press what our departments cannot or will not, as it relates to the public safety of Californians.

Because of our dual audience, that is why we have such buttons on the left as “About CACI” and “Media Resources.” It is time we start letting people know who we are, what we do, and why we’re vitally important to their safety.

What you see now is only the beginning. Improvements will evolve. How fast that happens depends on you. I would like to hear your thoughts, suggestions, worries, complaints, and – hopefully – a few compliments. E-mail me with them at caci.affiliate@sbcglobal.net.

It is up to us to make this work. What we hope to accomplish as an organization starts here.
