LACC Dispatcher Reinstated

In the last issue of the Frontline I reported on the favorable decision of the State Personnel Board reversing the dismissal of a public safety dispatcher assigned the the Los Angeles Communications Center (LACC). On September 8, 2004 CAUSE Legal reported on CHP's unsuccessful petition for rehearing which was summarily denied by the SPB. I am pleased to report today CHP issued an order for the dispatcher to report to duty on Monday morning. She will be administratively assigned to a shift and regular days off consistent with her departmental seniority. CHP is also in the process of calculating the dispacther's back pay entitlement and will be issuing a retoractive check shortly. Needless to say this CAUSE/CHP-PSDA member is ecstactic to be resuming her career with CHP.
